Newark Electric Customers Can Get $100 For Recycling an Eligible Appliance

For a limited time, Efficiency Smart is doubling the reward for City of Newark Electric Department customers that responsibly recycle an eligible appliance.

Newark electric customers who schedule a free pickup of their old appliances by September 30 will receive a $100 reward per appliance recycled. Eligible appliances include working refrigerators, freezers, window air conditioners, and dehumidifiers.

In addition to the $100 reward for each unit responsibly recycled, residents will also save on their utility bill from no longer running an older appliance.
