Efficiency Smart and the Borough of Ephrata will host customer appreciation days on Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10, from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., at the borough offices located on 124 S State St. During the event, Efficiency Smart staff will distribute five free compact florescent lights (CFLs), while supplies last, as well as kits with rebate forms, program information and energy efficiency tips.

American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) and the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation (VEIC) have executed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that will extend operation of Efficiency Smart™, AMP’s successful energy efficiency offering, from January 2014 through at least December 2016. The two entities are now negotiating contract language.

Efficiency Smart’s services have already been utilized by several residents and local entities, including the City of Hubbard’s Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP).

The Village of Elmore and Efficiency Smart have joined together to save money and reduce power usage for Elmore Board of Public Affairs electric customers through several energy efficiency initiatives. Efficiency Smart staff and volunteers will be going door-to-door in Elmore on September 22 to hand out free compact fluorescent light bulbs (CLFs) and discuss incentives and services available to Elmore Board of Public Affairs electric customers through the partnership.
